AyCode for MacmacOS 12 or later · Apple Silicon
Claude Code, Codex and other coding agents on your Mac
AyCode is a free desktop app that runs the coding agents you already use side by side in one calm window. On the Mac you get all of it, including the parts that only exist there: the Island at the notch, AppShot and meeting recording in AyNotes.
- Needs a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) and macOS 12 or later.
- Runs Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, Grok, OpenCode, Cline, Kimi and more, as they are signed in on your Mac.
- Only on the Mac: the Island at the notch, AppShot and recording meetings in AyNotes.
- Free to download. Updates install themselves and are checked against a signature first.
Install it
- Download the DMG from the download section.
- Open it and drag AyCode into Applications.
- Start AyCode. The first start offers a short tour, lets you pick your notes folder and, if you agree, finds the agent apps on your Mac and checks that they answer.
The install guide has every step, and what to allow when macOS asks.
What only the Mac has
- The Island: a capsule around the notch shows which agents are working or waiting for you and their current step. More about the Island.
- AppShot: press both ⌘ keys and the window in front lands in your chat as an image plus its text, including text scrolled out of view.
- Meeting recording in AyNotes: record a call with consent, have it transcribed on your Mac and get decisions and tasks in your vault. More about AyNotes.
- Desktop relays for the Grok and Perplexity apps, still experimental, and a screensaver with six designs.
Everything else, on every platform
The rest of AyCode is the same on Mac, Windows and Linux: your coding agents in one window, several agents in parallel, each in its own git worktree, what each agent costs in one place, and your Obsidian vault as a Second Brain. ⌥Space opens the quick chat from any app.
Questions
Does AyCode run on Intel Macs?
No. AyCode needs a Mac with Apple Silicon, so an M1 or newer, and macOS 12 or later.
Does AyCode cost anything?
AyCode is free to download and use. The agents run as they are signed in on your Mac or with your own API keys, or on local models through Ollama or LM Studio, and AyCode resells no tokens.
