AyCode or T3 Code?
T3 Code and AyCode want the same thing: one calm place for your coding agents. T3 Code is open source under the MIT license. AyCode is free but not open source, and puts your notes and meetings next to the agents.
- Both are free and run several coding agents; T3 Code runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, AyCode on Macs with Apple Silicon and as a beta on Windows and Linux.
- T3 Code is open source (MIT). AyCode is free, but its source is private.
- AyCode adds an Obsidian Second Brain, AyNotes meeting notes and Aylinge.
- Moving over is simple: AyCode takes over T3 Code chats as whole sessions.

What T3 Code does well
T3 Code is open source, so you can read and change everything it does. It is fast, free and runs Cursor’s agent, which AyCode does not. If an open codebase matters most to you, it is the better choice.
What AyCode adds
- Your notes as memory: AyCode turns your Obsidian vault into a Second Brain with a graph, and agents can write back to it.
- Meetings into notes: AyNotes records calls with consent, transcribes them on your computer and keeps decisions and tasks in your vault.
- Agents with a name: Aylinge have a face, a memory and routines, and several can talk in one group chat.
- More around the agents: team sessions with your team in one chat, the quick chat from any app and the Island at the Mac’s notch.
Moving over
Under Settings → Move in, AyCode finds T3 Code on your computer and takes its chats over as whole sessions, so you can simply continue them, together with providers, MCP servers and skills. How moving in works.
Questions
