AyCode or the Codex app?
OpenAI’s Codex app is part of the ChatGPT desktop app now: you choose ChatGPT or Codex and sign in with your ChatGPT account. AyCode runs Codex through OpenAI’s own Codex app server, next to the other agents you use.

What the Codex app does well
It is OpenAI’s own app, so it follows Codex closely, ChatGPT is one click away, and it runs on macOS, Windows and Linux. If Codex is the only agent you use, it keeps everything in one familiar place.
What AyCode adds
- Other agents next to Codex: send one prompt to up to four models, each in its own chat and worktree, and compare the answers. Parallel agents.
